Email archiving allows you to retain a copy of every email that passes through the server. This applies to both clean and dirty email. This is useful in disaster recovery or meeting compliance policies. Email archiving is a domain level operation.
Directional Flow #
This matches the flow relative to the domain. The most directional flow is “to” where your domain users are the recipients. If you also relay email out through Mailborder, you may want to set this to “From or To” and it will archive a copy of all email matching your domain in both directions.
Domains #
You may have retention policies for All Domains, individual domains, or both. If All Domains is selected and you have an additional policy for example.com, the policy for example.com will be used during maintenance cycles.
Retention Period #
How many days you wish to retain the email archive. Emails within the archive older than this will be removed. This overrides the global Quarantine Retention period.
