Route Exceptions

< 1 min read

Route Exceptions are implemented to have Mailborder servers deliver routed email to different locations. For example, if you have a Mailborder cluster with two Child servers in remote locations, the Child servers can be configured to deliver to a mail server within the same data center. Routes can also be used to temporarily reroute email during an outage.

This is commonly used in Microsoft Exchange environments where there are numerous DAG heads in multiple locations.
